The vision of the Robotics competition

There have been many developments in the world since the time we stated as Homo sapiens. However, the thing that takes our fancy every time is something that can be managed without our inference in it. For example something that we have been doing for years is being done on its own; it brings real pleasure and comfort to our lives. However, the robots are no longer only fantasized for comfort.

There are many other applications that are being thought for the robot and hence the constant research and development n this area of study is always on. It is not only the advancement in technology that is required in such a field, what is actually required is the vision. To inculcate such vision in our students and the future generations many corporate and industries fund many Robotics competition that shall encourage students to be a part of this movement. They are the young minds who are presently experiencing the currents of learning. At this stage they have a lot of ideas which are mostly an outcome of their surroundings. To tap this thought and dream there are many competitions held all over the world and there are many categories under which they can be classified. Not only are the ones that can fly the robots, or those who shall clean up your room.

There have been Robotics competitions that concentrate on the unmanned vehicle sand their development. This shall be very helpful in the future generation of automobile designing and also the various projects that involve going to places which are not really habitable for man.

For this there are two categories which concentrate on unmanned vehicle development. The two categories are the indoor vehicles and the outdoor ones. An example of the outdoor unmanned ground vehicle competition is the IARRC. It is actually about the development of such ground vehicles that shall be raced together to see which one reaches the finish line the fastest. In this case there are many sophisticated rounds testing how sustainable the design is. The most interesting thing about this is that it is at no point managed by the humans, it is self regulatory. Hence here not only the mechanics are used for the work, but also it is an incorporation of other streams of science. There is software to be involved for the management of the vehicle.

This is a kind of Robotics competition that shall involve the thrill and the excitement related to a competition. This is something that can truly e called as work while having fun, and there are many models which represent extreme engineering in these models exhibiting great knowledge and thought put in the development of these piece.

Then there are other categories of Robotics competition like the marine and the aerial competitions, where the robots are to work in these terrains. There is an international Ariel robotics competition that works at the college level. The students are posed with a mission that they need to fulfill by the means of developing an appropriate robot. This competition also has a spin off in the underwater category.
